Job description

Job Title: Brand Development Manager - Wine & Spirits
Reports To: Senior Brand Development Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Classification: Full-time
Job Summary: The Wine and Spirits Brand Development Manager will support all aspects of the Wine and Spirit Brand portfolio with the goal of growing Wine and Spirits brands within Southern Crown Partners.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Conduct account visits on a weekly basis, work at festivals as determined by event needs, schedule market rides, ride-with and provide cross-training to Southern Crown employees.
  • Monthly Market Rides/Team Sells with suppliers to close distribution gaps.
  • Build retailer relationships within the market.
  • Attends all sales segment meetings to provide Wine and Spirits brand updates, opportunities, feedback, and analysis based on market observations and sales data.
  • Perform sales calls daily to educate and grow the awareness of Wine and Spirits brands on targeted and off premise accounts and to sell distribution of existing brands and new products, features, and samplings.
  • Provides detailed, structured recaps to Wine and Spirits Brand Managers daily and weekly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Self-motivated and able to work flexible hours (days, nights, and weekends) 45-50 hours per week.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, possess leadership and planning skills, ability to follow up, and great communication skills.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license in the state of residence while maintaining a good driving record in accordance with Southern Crown Partners' Driving Policy.
  • Represents SCP's commitment to excellence through PARTNERS values.

Education/Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience in beverage distribution or related field.
  • WSET L2 Wine or Spirits or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:
  • Administrative 50%
  • Walking, Bending, Lifting and Twisting 50%
