Job description

The Key Account Director will be the key point of contact between the Japanese customers and GROB and will be responsible for educating customers on GROB's product line. This position will be located in Bluffton, Ohio as well as our sales office in Troy, Michigan. Within the first 3 - 4 years the Key Account Director will develop their skills as a proposal engineer, knowing in detail the product and the brand for a successful technical sale in the future.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain company visibility in Japanese market
  • Manage relationships with assigned customers
  • Obtain vital market information for marketing/proposal/upper management
  • Educate customers on GROB's product line
  • Support the GROB Team in generating technical & commercial proposals

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Must be fluent in Japanese and English
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience with Japanese companies/markets
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in the machine tool sector

General Requirements:
  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Willing to travel domestic and international
