Job description

Seasonal Kettle Driver

Job Title: Seasonal Kettle Driver

FLSA Status: Seasonal, Full Time - non-exempt Reports to: Corps Officer

Schedule: Varies, 40hrs/week

Supervises: N/A

Rate of Pay: $19/hr

Closing Date: 09/22/2025

Benefits: Seasonal; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:

  • Sick leave benefit 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire; sick time accrual is pro-rated for part-time hours.

Function: This position for Seasonal Driver is for 2025 Christmas season (October 15-Jan 7). They will work in close cooperation with the Corps Officer and other leaders to support the total ministry of The Salvation Army by helping to aid in the transportation and driving of goods and persons related to the annual Red Kettle Fundraising Campaign and Toy Distribution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transport Kettle supplies and workers as needed to and from kettle locations
  • Pickup and drop-off materials relating to the Christmas season
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. in a single load
  • Able to drive at night and in inclement or adverse weather
  • Maintain routine vehicle maintenance assigned to the driver
  • Maintain logs and documents associated to the Christmas season
  • Assist in the counting, sorting and storing of kettle monies
  • Interact well with all persons whom they encounter, from staff, volunteers and community members

Qualification and Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma required
  • Incredibly strong organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Good people skills and customer service mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure
  • Flexible schedule
  • Able to pass driving test administered by The Salvation Army
  • Minimally 21 years of age and possessing a valid Colorado Driver's License
  • Acceptable driving history. MVR is required.
