Job description

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for Seasonal Angel Tree Driver for Angel Tree Program at several local Malls in San Antonio, Texas.
Job Summary
Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to assigned locations for Corps/Area Command Christmas Angel Tree program donations and gifts and/or Christmas Kettle program transportation of bell ringers to designated worksites; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to assigned locations for Corps/Area Command Christmas Angel Tree program donations and gifts and/or Christmas Kettle program transportation of bell ringers to designated worksites; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED And
a minimum of two years driving experience.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.
Ability to operate commercial equipment.
Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing duties given.
Ability to perform general cleaning activities for building.
Ability to safely transport employees in a van.
Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/pull moderate (25- 50 lbs) materials and donations.
