Kent Homes is a second-generation, female-owned luxury home builder serving Southeastern North Carolina. We are hiring a dependable Construction Laborer to support our production team on active residential construction job sites.

This is a hands-on field role focused on keeping job sites clean, organized, safe, professional, and ready for the next phase of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform construction cleanup on assigned job sites throughout Wilmington and Southeastern North Carolina.
  • Keep active job sites clean, safe, organized, and professional.
  • Remove trash, debris, scrap materials, and construction waste as needed.
  • Help prepare job sites for trade work, inspections, customer visits, and project milestones.
  • Support Project Managers, trade partners, and internal team members with field-related tasks.
  • Move, organize, and stage materials when needed.
  • Maintain and transfer construction cleanup tools from job to job.
  • Help protect jobsite presentation, curb appeal, and customer-facing appearance.
  • Follow Kent Homes' safety standards and safe work practices.
  • Communicate clearly with Project Managers and team members regarding jobsite needs, issues, or concerns.
  • Complete assigned tasks with urgency, care, and attention to detail.
  • Represent Kent Homes professionally while working in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Some construction experience or trade experience is preferred.
  • Residential construction experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must have reliable personal transportation.
  • Must be able to transport construction cleanup tools from job to job.
  • Truck preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work on active construction job sites in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, move, and organize construction materials and cleanup tools as needed.
  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to take direction.
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions, safety expectations, and company procedures.
  • Professional appearance and understanding that you represent Kent Homes in the field.
