Job description

For more than 15 years, we've operated neighborhood oriented restaurants in and around Manhattan's West Village. Here at Fairfax, we're looking to add a Bartender to our dynamic and dedicated dining room team. Fairfax is a bustling neighborhood tavern and bar with a killer wine list, a memorable burger, and a changing seasonal menu framed by daily additions.
We're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so the position requires a balance of daytime and evening availability and includes weekend shifts. Schedules are regular and published in one month blocks at least two weeks in advance.
The ideal candidate is highly confident behind the bar, enjoys wine, is a competent barista, and approaches guest service with the same tact and thoughtful hospitality as one would on the floor,
Who We Are:
At Happy Cooking Hospitality, we build restaurants that feel like home. Joseph Leonard, Jeffrey's Grocery, and Fairfax are all within one block of one another; in Brooklyn, we recently launched Sailor. While each restaurant has a unique identity, they're rooted in the same thoughtful and generous hospitality. We have high expectations for the quality of our services and the knowledge base of our teams and work hard to achieve a result we can all take pride in. We have similarly high expectations for how we communicate with and care for one another. It's not a stretch to think of our long cultivated community as a "restaurant family".
Who You Are:
Our team is passionate about what they do, and we're seeking others who are too. If you enjoy taking care of people, love learning, and take pride in creating memorable experiences for your guests, we want to hear from you.
Successful candidates are professionals who are punctual, consistent, open minded and can thrive in a fast-paced environment where prioritization and communication with one's teammates and guests are critical to success.
Why Work With Us:
In addition to being a part of a company where hospitality and culture is our superpower, we offer a wide range of benefits for our employees.
- Be a part of a vibrant, growing and just plain fun community of 4 different restaurants
- Opportunities for Medical/Dental/Vision Coverage, Commuter Benefits, and 401k
- Company wide dining discount
- Family Meal! Delicious ones...
