VOLUNTEER ~ Share Your Sunshine ~ Be a Friendly Visitor! Fairfax/Herndon VA
Share your sunshine by visiting with Hospice patients who are often lonely and without the comfort of immediate family. Our patients benefit so much from warm smiles, pleasant conversations, and gentle hand holding. It's easy to share music/nature sounds on your smart phone, read books/poetry, play guitar/Sing, watch TV, join a patient for dinner or just provide a compassionate presence. We provide free comprehensive training and support along your journey. Let people know they matter. Your smile and presence will mean so much! to our patients and families! Please note: This is an UNPAID position as a VOLUNTEER.

Requirements:
  • 18 years old.
  • Stay connected for one year or more
  • Volunteer at least 4 hours per month.
  • Complete our Free Comprehensive Online training that is personally enriching and is focused on personal death awareness and hospice philosophy.
