Temporary Sales Specialist
KeenLogic is seeking a Temporary Sales Specialist to support the U.S. House of Representatives, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Customer Experience Center – Office Supply Services (OSS) in Washington, DC.
The Office Supply Services team supports Members of Congress, Committees, and House support offices by providing the everyday office supplies and merchandise needed for daily operations. This position will provide additional customer service and operational support during the congressional transition, assisting the Office Supply Services (OSS) team with increased customer activity and daily operations. The Sales Specialist will deliver professional, face-to-face customer service, assist with resolving customer needs, stock and maintain merchandise on the sales floor, receive and fulfill orders, and prepare items for delivery.
Position Details
  • Anticipated Start: On or around October 19, 2026
  • Duration: Approximately 16 weeks
  • Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday
  • Hours: Scheduled between the operating hours of 8:30 AM–5:30 PM; up to 8 working hours per day with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
  • Location: Onsite at the Longworth House Office Building, Washington, DC
Required Qualifications
  • Strong face-to-face customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to work professionally with high-profile customers, including Members of Congress and House staff.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to move and stock materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Knowledge of or previous experience within a legislative environment or the U.S. House of Representatives is preferred, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, face-to-face customer service to Members, staff, and other House customers.
  • Assist customers and resolve customer service issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of Office Supply Services and Gift Shop products.
  • Display, stock, and restock merchandise on the sales floor.
  • Receive customer orders and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Prepare merchandise and supply orders for delivery.
  • Assist OSS employees with daily sales and operational activities.
  • Maintain an organized and professional customer-facing environment.
  • Support additional Office Supply Services needs during the congressional transition.
