Job description

The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (TPMG) is one of the nation's largest and most accomplished medical groups, with over 10,000 physicians across 21 medical centers and numerous medical offices throughout Northern and Central California. This includes a group of over 60 interventional radiologists working in collaboration across the region. As the exclusive physician group for Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in this region, TPMG offers physicians long-term career stability, exceptional practice support, and protection from corporatization or hospital contract turnover.

We are seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join our collegial and well-established group in the Napa-Solano service area, primarily serving Vallejo and Vacaville Medical Centers. You will join a group of 20 diagnostic and 4 interventional radiologists in a partnership-track position with a strong clinical IR presence and excellent multidisciplinary collaboration across surgical and medical specialties.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Broad practice of adult interventional radiology, including:
    • Interventional oncology with hepatobiliary tumor board : Y-90, microwave and cryoablations
    • Embolization procedures including prostate artery
    • Peripheral arterial and venous interventions
    • Spine interventions
    • Dialysis access including peritoneal dialysis
    • Varied inpatient and outpatient IR services
  • Participation in equally shared weekday/ weekend interventional radiology call, average Q5
  • Participation in general diagnostic radiology rotations. Approximately 70-90% IR, 10-30% general radiology (remote)
  • Close collaboration with surgery, oncology, hospital medicine, and other specialties within a highly coordinated, multispecialty environment.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible / Board Certified in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology
  • Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
