Position Summary
The Assistant Principal serves as a key member of the school leadership team, supporting the
principal in driving academic achievement, strengthening school culture, and developing teacher and
leader capacity. This role focuses on instructional leadership, data-driven decision-making, and
building systems that promote positive student outcomes. The Assistant Principal operates as an
emerging school leader, building the skills and experience necessary for future principalship.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
• Master's degree in education or a related field required.
Certification/License
• Valid Georgia Professional Certification (Level 5 or higher) in a teaching or service field.
• Valid Georgia Professional Certification (Level 5 or higher) in Educational Leadership.
Experience
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a teacher, counselor, instructional coach, or
similar role in a K-12 educational setting.
