Job description

Our client located in Central Houston is seeking an experienced Senior Billing Specialist for their growing law firm. Position is working in the office weekly, with the opportunity to work hybrid work schedule after 90 days. Position has a trajectory to be promoted to manager in a few years due to the expansive growth nationwide. Must have the following requirements to be considered:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate e-billing submissions from Juris software to multiple e-billing portals.
  • Heavy manual billing within LEDES
  • Resolve rejections
  • Assist with e-billing appeals
  • Resolve billing-related issues
  • Experience working with insurance adjustors
  • Desire to be trained on the collection & appeals processes for the firm
  • Open to learn

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of billing experience with LEDES files (REQUIRED)
  • Familiarity with Juris software (PLUS)
  • Excel (REQUIRED)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and execute effectively in a deadline-driven industry
  • Experienced working with Medical malpractice / insurance defense billing (PLUS)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work unsupervised
