They are seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and management of Microsoft Windows Servers, ensuring smooth operation and providing technical assistance to internal teams and external customers.
Responsibilities:
• Windows server vulnerability and patch management
• Supporting Senior Engineers: Junior Systems Engineers often work closely with more experienced engineers to learn and assist in various tasks related to system design, development, and maintenance.
• Documentation: They may be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, including system design specifications, process documentation, and configuration management records.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues with systems, applications, or infrastructure components. This may involve troubleshooting hardware or software problems.
• Testing: Conducting tests and quality assurance activities to ensure that systems meet performance and reliability standards.
• System Maintenance: Assisting in routine system maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, and project managers, to ensure systems meet project requirements.
• Requirements Analysis: Participating in requirements gathering and analysis to understand the needs of the system users and stakeholders.
• Research: Staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute to the improvement of systems and processes.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Relevant degrees such as Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields with 2-3 years with experience in similar role
• Proven track record as a server system engineer.
• Hands-on experience in building and maintaining modern server systems, server middleware and server patch management
• 2-3 years of experience in system administration or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Windows server operating systems, software, and hardware
• Experience with system troubleshooting and problem solving
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Skill working with server and device patch management tools (Ivanti, Microsoft SCCM or Azure Arc)
