Job description

Job Title: Senior .NET Systems Engineer (Healthcare & Data Integration)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior .NET Systems Engineer to join our core development team. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of complex, high-volume information systems, from initial requirements research to technical design, implementation, and performance optimization.
This is a senior-level position for an engineer who thrives on the "systems" side of development. You will not only write clean, robust code but will also take ownership of the data verification methods, system performance tuning, and technical architecture that keep our applications running reliably. If you enjoy translating complex business requirements into high-performance technical specifications and are ready to provide technical leadership on critical projects, this is an opportunity to significantly impact our operational architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Systems Design
• System Architecture: Design, code, test, and debug complex applications, subroutines, and scripts. Formulate and define system scope and objectives through deep-dive analysis.
• Optimization & Performance: Devise and modify application procedures to optimize functional requirements, including capacity planning, response times, and throughput.
• Reliability Engineering: Respond to system failures and performance incidents by performing root-cause analysis, taking immediate corrective measures to reduce downtime, and implementing permanent fixes to eliminate recurrence.
Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Technical Stewardship: Serve as a technical lead for medium-to-large project efforts. Act as a mentor, providing guidance and training to junior team members on coding standards, debugging, and system design best practices.
• Requirements Translation: Collaborate closely with business users and systems analysts to ensure that technical specifications align perfectly with changing business needs.
• Project Governance: Proactively manage work assignments, coordinate project phases, and provide presentations to end-users to ensure they can maximize the utility of the systems you develop.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of comprehensive experience in systems analysis and programming within the .NET/C# ecosystem.
• Technical Mastery:
oDevelopment: Extensive experience with high-volume C# batch processing and complex data integration.
oDatabase: Strong command of SQL Server and advanced data verification methods.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of enterprise software development methodologies, terminology, and industry-standard coding practices.
Preferred Attributes
• Proven experience in the healthcare or insurance industry (specifically dealing with enrollment, eligibility, or large-scale transactional data).
• A track record of leading medium-to-complex technology initiatives from discovery to implementation.
• Exceptional communication skills-the ability to speak "tech" to developers and "value" to business stakeholders.
