System Administrator

Summary: SDV Construction is seeking an in-house System Administrator who wants to improve systems, support people, and make a real operational impact not sit in a corporate ticket queue. This role partners closely with leadership and field teams to enhance reliability, security, and user-friendly processes across our offices and job sites.

Ideal for a mid-level IT professional (or growth-minded junior admin) who is hands-on, business-minded, and values autonomy, continuous improvement, and a strong life-work culture. You'll support core infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and day-to-day technology needs while helping streamline how the company operates statewide, with only occasional travel.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • User Support: Support Users: Fast, reliable technical support across devices, M365, and core systems. Improve Processes: Implement user-friendly system and workflow improvements. Collaborate: Partner with leadership, field teams, and IT Director to align IT with operations.
  • System Reliability and Infrastructure: Maintain Infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure cloud, and M365 administration. Ensure Uptime: Monitor systems, virtualization, backups, and recovery readiness. Standardize Systems: Maintain secure, compliant company devices and MDM
  • Security and Risk Management: Secure Environment: MFA, patching, backups, and secure configurations. Understand Criticality: Strong awareness of the importance of security, data protection, and business continuity
  • Operational Efficiency & Improvement: Document & Streamline: Clear documentation, repeatable workflows, automation. Continuous Learning: Apply scripting, best practices, and proactive problem solving. Adapt Statewide: Provide occasional onsite support to offices and job sites sometimes outside of Albuquerque or Rio Rancho.
