Job Summary:
InterSources Inc. is a Small, Woman, and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise with over 18 years of experience in IT Consulting Services. They are seeking an experienced Senior Windows Server System Administrator to design, implement, and maintain their enterprise Windows server infrastructure, requiring deep technical expertise in Windows Server technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Lead the planning and execution of server upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities
• Manage and optimize virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware) and cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS)
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Monitor system performance and capacity planning
• Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures
• Provide escalated technical support and troubleshooting
• Mentor junior system administrators and provide technical guidance
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7+ years of experience administering Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
• Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
• Strong experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V and/or VMware)
• Proven experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
• Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)
• Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimization
• Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCSA, or newer role-based certifications)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (SCCM, Ansible)
