A leading multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and planning firm is seeking an experienced Professional Structural Engineer (PE) to join its growing engineering team. The firm is recognized for delivering innovative, high-quality design solutions across a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, educational, healthcare, and public-sector projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Structural Engineer who enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, solving complex engineering challenges, and contributing to projects from concept through construction.
Position Summary
The Professional Structural Engineer (PE) will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design, preparing construction documents, conducting field observations, and collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout all phases of project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing structural systems for commercial and institutional buildings, preparing engineering calculations and reports, and mentoring junior engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations for commercial and institutional building projects.
  • Design structural systems utilizing steel, reinforced concrete, wood, and masonry.
  • Prepare structural construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Review and interpret structural calculations, drawings, and design documents.
  • Conduct field observations and construction site inspections involving steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structural systems.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and technically accurate engineering reports.
  • Coordinate with architects, project managers, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Engineers-in-Training (EITs).
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Support project planning, quality assurance, and successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis or related discipline.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Structural Analysis
    • Steel Design
    • Reinforced Concrete Design
    • Wood Design
    • Masonry Design
    • Mechanics of Materials
  • Ability to prepare and review structural calculations, engineering reports, and construction documents.
