Overview:
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Health Cloud Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions within the Health Cloud and Life Sciences domain. This role requires deep technical expertise across the Salesforce platform, strong DevOps and integration capabilities, and a thorough understanding of HIPAA and GDPR compliance standards.
The ideal candidate will act as a technical authority, owning end-to-end solution architecture, guiding development teams, governing release management, and collaborating closely with business and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
  • Lead end-to-end technical architecture and solution design for Salesforce Health Cloud implementations.
  • Ensure alignment with Salesforce platform best practices, security standards, and DevOps principles.
  • Conduct technical design reviews and provide architectural guidance across the program lifecycle.

Development & Configuration
  • Design and build solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce Flows.
  • Implement and configure Health Cloud data models, including Patients, Care Programs, Care Program Enrollees, and Care Plans.
  • Configure Health Cloud Console, Care Coordination workflows, and Utilization Management modules.
  • Deliver OmniStudio solutions tailored for Health Cloud and Life Sciences use cases.

Integration & APIs
  • Lead and oversee Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture (CDC).
  • Architect and manage middleware integrations, with a preference for MuleSoft.
  • Implement Salesforce Connect and External Objects as required.
  • Support integrations with Amazon Connect, email/fax systems, and external clinical or administrative platforms.
  • Enable Data Cloud integration where applicable.

DevOps & Release Management
  • Define and manage CI/CD pipelines using Salesforce DevOps Center, Git (GitHub/GitLab), and automated deployment tools.
  • Establish and enforce branching strategies, coding standards, and deployment governance.
  • Manage sandbox strategy, version control, deployment validation, production cutovers, rollbacks, and hotfixes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in deployment velocity, quality, and reliability.

Security, Data & Compliance
  • Ensure solutions meet HIPAA, GDPR, and enterprise security requirements.
  • Implement Salesforce Shield features including Platform Encryption and Event Monitoring.
  • Govern Salesforce security models including Profiles, Permission Sets, Role Hierarchies, and Sharing Rules.
  • Ensure robust data management, audit readiness, and secure development practices.

Quality, Support & Collaboration
  • Enforce high code quality through peer reviews, unit testing, and static code analysis.
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot critical issues, and ensure timely incident resolution.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers, provide technical leadership, and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Lead and contribute effectively in agile or hybrid delivery models across global teams.
