Who You Are:
The Senior Analyst, Insurance and Risk Management will serve as a key contributor responsible for executing development insurance and risk management activities supporting large-scale data center campuses. The role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders and external advisors to administer development insurance programs, support project financing diligence, and manage transitions to property coverage. Success in this role requires strong project management, organization, and communication skills, along with demonstrated knowledge of risk transfer, insurance program structure, and compliance requirements.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead the day-to-day operational activity related to the insurance and risk management needs of domestic and international large-scale development projects. Manage the Owner Master Builder's Risk Program including enrollment of new projects and transition to property coverage for data center assets and related projects.

  • Direct the completion and submission of applications, disclosures, and other documentation needed for procuring coverages; negotiate and review terms of coverage.

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Real Estate Program Management, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Development, EHS, and Procurement to execute on the coordinated approach to insurance management during the development cycle of campus infrastructure and ongoing operation of data center assets.

  • Lead insurance transitions at key project milestones; maintain the transition pipeline and proactively track target milestone dates.

  • Manage engineering support of the global property program.

  • Support international expansion initiatives.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Lender Insurance Advisors during project financing; partner with Capital Markets, Legal Finance, and external partners to complete diligence on schedule.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, insurance products, and emerging risks.

  • Research and evaluate and recommend insurance solutions to support business objectives and growth initiatives, including Owner Controlled Insurance Programs.

  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to educate internal stakeholders on insurance requirements, claims processes, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Analyze and report on loss trends and insurance metrics to senior management, providing actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making and risk mitigation efforts.

  • Coordinate with brokers, insurers, and third-party advisors to ensure optimal insurance program structure and cost efficiency.

  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of risk awareness across the organization.

What You Will Need to Be Successful:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7 or more years of experience within the insurance industry. Real Estate and construction industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with environmental risk analysis.

Nice to Have:
  • ARM, CRIS, or CPCU designations.
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, construction, or risk management and insurance; or other professional degree with emphasis on real estate, finance, construction, or risk management & insurance.
  • Advanced knowledge in real estate and construction insurance coverages.
  • Ability to understand corporate ownership, financing structures, leasing, and development.
