  • In the role of Senior Bridge Project Manager, we'll count on you to: 
    Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects
  • Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff
  • Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project's development
  • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
  • Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice
  • Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure completion of documents on schedule
  • Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable-stayed), box culvert, and
  • interchange design for highway and railway projects
  • Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
  • Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs
  • Mentor younger staff and support continued development
Preferred Qualifications 
 
  • Structural Engineer in the State of Washington (or able to achieve reciprocity within 6 months)
  • 20+ years of bridge design experience
  • Familiarity with scheduling software such as MS Project
  • Familiarity with engineering software packages such as: PGSuper, SAP2000, CSiBridge, LARSA 4D, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, MDX, ADINA, RM Bridge, spColumn, or LUSAS
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
