- In the role of Senior Bridge Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single-discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects - Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff
- Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project's development
- Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
- Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
- Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice
- Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure completion of documents on schedule
- Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable-stayed), box culvert, and
- interchange design for highway and railway projects
- Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
- Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs
- Mentor younger staff and support continued development
- Structural Engineer in the State of Washington (or able to achieve reciprocity within 6 months)
- 20+ years of bridge design experience
- Familiarity with scheduling software such as MS Project
- Familiarity with engineering software packages such as: PGSuper, SAP2000, CSiBridge, LARSA 4D, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, MDX, ADINA, RM Bridge, spColumn, or LUSAS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10 years related experience
- A minimum 5 years project management experience
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
- Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
