Job description

Summary/Purpose of the Position: 

The Project Coordinator is responsible for setting up, maintaining, updating, and ensuring projects are progressing towards the determined goals within the allotted time and within the allotted budget. This will be accomplished by working in the Company’s established project management system and continually implementing industry best practices. This role will coordinate project meetings and reach out to stakeholders through multiple communication platforms. 

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:  

  • Work with assigned project owners to determine project scope and objectives 

  • Work with project owners and the PMO team to develop and maintain project plans for assigned projects 

  • Work with project owners and the PMO team to determine resources needed to reach objectives 

  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the process 

  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan 

  • Assign tasks and communicate expected deliverables 

  • Track progress for assigned projects to ensure deadlines and goals are attained 

  • Monitor tasks and timelines and overall project priority to adjust plans as necessary 

  • Manage project resources including both internal and external stakeholders 

  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders 

  • Elevate concerns and shortcomings to leadership and executive sponsors 

  • Effectively communicate individually and to large groups both in-person and virtually 

  • Travel to facilitate project meetings as needed 

  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements 

  • Track project costs against budget 

  • Other duties as assigned  

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED required 

  • Degree preferred in business accounting, or related field 

  • 2+ years’ experience with project management processes preferred 

  • Business Acumen (basic understanding of finance, accounting, marketing, and operations) 

  • Detail oriented, persistent, motivated, self-directed, organized, and efficient with time management 

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills 

  • Focused on results rather than activities 

  • Strong sense of urgency 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills 

  • Able to acquire working knowledge of the Company’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Project 

  • Able to adjust easily to change, prioritize work, and meet deadlines 

  • Microsoft Project and Excel proficiency is required 

  • Travel: Willing and Able to travel, 25% of time or as needed for specific projects
