We are actively seeking to hire the following position in Ft. Myers, FL: 
  • Junior Project Manager - Civil with a commercial large retail focus 
The ideal candidate for this role will be highly skilled in leading client management, project management, presentations, conceptual design, construction documents, plan review and construction administration.
The Junior Project Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day project scope including staff workload tracking and management, coordination with regulatory agencies, maintaining and tracking project schedule, etc. The day to day of this role will involve working with a highly collaborative and dynamic team in a multidisciplinary environment. 
This role is responsible for assisting with managing projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Leads project operations, from start to finish ensuring all phases of the project align with project safety regulations and organizational standards. This individual will be responsible for streamlining all work with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and general contractors to ensure optimal operations.
  • Fulfilling the responsibilities of a Project Manager as part of project design teams including architects, engineers, designers, consultants and clients.
  • Development, negotiation and management of project scopes, contracts, planning, schedules, budgets, change orders and billing.
  • Coordination and collaboration with firm disciplines, other project managers, and business development teams.
  • Research, interpretation and ensuring implementation of company and client requirements, standards and templates.
  • Periodic travel to perform business development and project management tasks. Duty includes preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits.
  • Oversight and assistance with compiling documents/construction plans from all disciplines and submittal to agencies having jurisdiction.
  • Oversight of project quality control implementation.
  • Weekly coordination with and reporting to clients and firm leadership regarding project/program performance with respect to quality, status, schedule and budget.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assist in planning, scheduling and resource allocation for all projects.
  • Reviewing detailed project documents, timelines and budgets to ensure alignment on all logistics and details for successful and quality completion/client delivery.
  • Ensure effective and efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment, assisting Owner with procurement activities to secure favorable terms.
  • Constructive management of on-site CPH team members including coordination of various vendors, assigning tasks, and ensuring work aligns with project specs. 
  • Provide document control for all project specific documentation including inspections, delays, material testing, schedule, etc. 
  • Utilize specific software for project management, shop drawings, RFIs, pay applications and change orders.
  • Manage CPH project costs and maintain strict budget control, ensuring procurement and labor are managed efficiently to avoid cost overruns.
  • Assist with contract negotiations, approval of invoices, and tracking/projecting CPH construction administration expenses to ensure the project stays within budget.
  • Communicate with project team to address issues or delays that may arise during the project and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track and keep the Project Owner informed.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and subconsultants, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges and ensure project continuity.
  • Coordinate operations across internal and external teams, ensuring smooth workflows across all phases of the project.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience successfully managing commercial projects specific to large retailers is a huge plus.
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Business Management/ related degree of relevance preferred (not required) with a minimum of 7 years' experience in project management and delivery from staff coordination to project delivery. 
  • Fundamentally sound with strong project management understanding for technical delivery related to coordination of quality design and engineering deliverables exercising a strong analytical problem-solving ability. 
  • Must be experienced in dealing with regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to perform plan and peer review of project design documents
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Experience with Smartsheet and Deltek is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of project process from concept through construction and ability to build to develop/maintain an effective schedule/budget.
  • Effective in exercising good judgement, providing instruction, prioritization, building consensus, and conflict resolution in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Superior social, communication, written and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
