Job description

CLMI Group is hiring a Junior Construction Scheduler to support the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Facilities Services Division on a portfolio of K-12 capital projects. This is an on-site, early-career role in Los Angeles, CA - an excellent entry point into Owner's-Representative construction management for a candidate with foundational P6 experience.
  • Work under the supervision of Senior Schedulers and Project Schedulers to provide construction schedule review comments for contractor-generated Baseline Schedules and Monthly Schedule updates based on LAUSD review templates.
  • Assist the scheduling team in creating and populating various schedule related reports in Excel and P6 software.
  • Create Earned Value Curves based on LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
  • Perform QA/QC on contractors' schedule submittals for conformance with contract scope and requirements.
  • Analyze schedules for proper use of program level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform QA/QC on P6 program schedules and validate logic ties to ensure conformance with scheduling guidelines for various project types.
  • Update the master program schedule with as-built start and finish dates while coordinating input from various Facilities teams on projected/forecast sequential start/finish dates.

Requirements
  • One (1) year full-time paid professional experience responsible in Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably on multiple educational facilities or public works projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version (P6 v19) and MS Office Suite

Required Education
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, engineering, or construction management

Additional Required Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
  • Superior organizational and planning skills
