POSITION OVERVIEW: Chiquita is seeking a PMO Manager to lead, evolve, and continuously mature the Project Management Office (PMO) framework, driving consistent execution, portfolio visibility, and executive-ready insights across the organization.
Reporting directly to the CIO, this role defines and governs how projects are structured, delivered, measured, and reported as enterprise standards. The PMO Manager plays a critical role in improving transparency, delivery discipline, and leadership decision-making.
This position ensures that project reporting moves beyond simple status updates by transforming portfolio execution data into clear, actionable insights on portfolio health. These insights support CIO decision-making and provide the Board with visibility into results and future direction.
Beyond governance and reporting, the PMO Manager proactively evaluates project management practices, processes, tools, and performance insights to anticipate future needs and continuously improve productivity, efficiency, and delivery outcomes.
The PMO operates as an enabler of value and execution excellence. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Team Leaders, functional areas, and IT leadership to drive the adoption of standards and best practices, elevate delivery maturity, and enable coordinated, enterprise-wide project execution.
This is an on-site, exempt position based at Chiquitas U.S. headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define, own, and continuously evolve the PMO operating model, governance framework, and delivery standards.
  • Provide portfolio level visibility into execution status, risks, dependencies, and delivery trends.
  • Produce clear, actionable, executive level portfolio and performance insights.
  • Promotes adoption of best practices working side by side with Managers and Team Leaders.
  • Design and improve automation for task intake, tracking, and reporting.
  • Continuously assess and enhance PMO practices, tools, and reporting to improve productivity and delivery outcomes.
  • Act as a change agent, enabling teams to adopt better ways of working and scalable execution models.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years experience in PMO, Project Management, or Portfolio Management roles.
  • Bilingual professional (English & Spanish).
  • Proven experience leading or supporting large scale system and process deployments.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and executive teams.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, portfolio management, and executive level reporting.
  • Solid understanding of project, program, and change management methodologies.
  • Advanced familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Planner, Power Automate, Lists, Loop).
  • Hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) is required; AI certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to analyze priorities and handle conflicts effectively.
EDUCATION:
Certifications are valued as indicators of experience and specialization; however, proven delivery and PMO leadership experience will be prioritized.

  • Portfolio Management certification (PfMP, MoP or similar).
  • Data / reporting certification (Power BI or equivalent).
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is primarily performed in a temperature-controlled office setting.
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
  • Incumbent may use calculator, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
