Job description

POSITION: Jr. Project Manager
REPORTS TO: Head of Retail Operations, Store Planning & Construction
FLSA: Exempt
LOCATION: New York, NY (hybrid)
OVERVIEW: Jr. Project Manager, is responsible for creating floor plans, developing elevations, creating renderings, and reviewing shop drawings or prototyping fixtures for. This position will also be maintaining the financial planning with adhering to budgets, providing analysis, as well as reporting support for all Kering Beauté design and construction initiatives. This is a cross-functional role which will communicate with internal partners and all departments.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
STORE PLANNING & DESIGN
  • Utilize AutoCAD to create design packages with laying out floor plans, elevations, and renderings of all new buildouts within retail channels and boutiques following brand design and requirements.
  • Coordinate with LL/Retailer and/or Architect for collection and review of all requirements in preparation for construction drawings to ensure accuracy and design intent is met for bid and construction.
  • Assist with all architectural and construction projects and activities related to the development of new boutiques and/or renovation of existing boutiques, from performing surveys, layout, and design through construction completion, punch list, and turnover.
  • Provide and track status reporting on all projects through completion.
  • Issue projects out for bid and level all for comparison to review and award.
  • Coordinate with retail partners and vendors to facilitate construction schedules.
  • Ensure all close-out documents are collected at the completion of each project.
  • Create and update presentation decks.
  • Manage construction budget through expense controls and monthly reporting.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly retail reporting for business internal partners.

FINANCIAL PLANNING
  • Prepare and manage all project timelines along with CapEx cost files.
  • Update and manage cash flow projections.
  • Organize all project files and close out documents.
  • Manage all invoices while keeping track of CapEx budget and expenses.

CORE REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in Architecture or Interior Design Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a retail construction position (Beauty or fragrance industry experience strongly preferred)
  • Time spent in a design firm and field construction experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Sketch-up, Photoshop & Microsoft Office is required.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while self-motivating.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Highly organized and able to multitask
