Job description

The Junior Operational Excellence will support our mission to drive efficiency and quality across the organization. Working alongside continuous improvement (CI) leaders, the candidate will support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data and assisting in the execution of improvement projects across manufacturing, quality, engineering and supply chain operations. The role focuses on monitoring operational performance metrics, developing dashboards and visualization tools, and identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

This is an immersive, high-impact role designed for a motivated individual.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data from manufacturing systems, enterprise systems
  • Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards and visualization tools using platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel
  • Support Operational Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving productivity, yield, throughput, and equipment uptime.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and rapid improvement workshops to design better "future-state" processes.
  • Coordinate and track timelines for improvement initiatives, ensuring deliverables are met
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to support data-driven decision making and operational improvements.
  • Help develop and document training materials to ensure consistency across teams.

Job Requirements

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing performance metrics such as yield and productivity.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (data cleaning, formulas) and PowerPoint; familiarity with process mapping tools like Visio or data visualization tools is often a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with an interest in data validation, data integrity, and reporting accuracy.
  • A basic understanding of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (PDCA, DMAIC), and 5S principles.
  • Candidate should be flexible to work mid and night shifts on occasion based on project needs. 

Education

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields or related technical discipline
      • Industrial/ Mechanical Engineering
      • Operations/ Manufacturing Engineering
      • Data Analytics

Experience

  • 0 to 1 years of experience in Operations Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or Process Improvement.
  • Experience with operational data analysis, dashboard development, or continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
