Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund

Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund ("BAIIF" or "the Fund") is Brookfield's inaugural strategy dedicated to investing in the physical infrastructure underpinning artificial intelligence. The Fund targets opportunities across the full AI value chain-including digital hubs and AI factories, compute hardware, power transmission, and strategic adjacencies-positioning Brookfield to capitalize on the transformative growth of AI technologies.

The Fund builds on Brookfield's leadership in infrastructure and deep operating capabilities to scale critical AI subsectors (data centers, power and wireless infrastructure) to capitalize on the over $7-trillion opportunity of investment in physical infrastructure required to support the $10-trillion potential productivity gain from AI adoption.

The Fund, with a once in a generational opportunity to build the backbone of AI, has initially been built out by a dedicated team drawn from Brookfield's infrastructure group, including senior executives with experience in recent data center acquisitions.

Key strategic principles include:

  • Focus on high-quality real assetsor highly contracted businesses that underpin AI.

Position Summary

This position offers a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team focused on deploying capital across the AI infrastructure value chain.

Successful candidates will contribute to deal execution, due diligence, and asset management, working closely with senior leaders to scale Brookfield's presence in this transformative sector. While primarily aligned with BAIIF, this role may also support adjacent strategies across Brookfield's infrastructure and transition platforms.

Responsibilities

Investment Analysis & Execution

  • Develop and oversee detailed financial models and return analyses to evaluate potential investments across AI infrastructure sectors (e.g., data centers, compute hardware, power, and connectivity).
  • Lead or support due diligence processes, including financial, operational, legal, and tax workstreams, ensuring alignment with the investment thesis and business case.
  • Prepare and present investment committee materials, bid letters, and transaction documentation with increasing ownership at senior levels.

Deal Origination & Strategy

  • Source and evaluate new investment opportunities, leveraging industry research and market intelligence.
  • Contribute to or lead idea generation for transactions and deal structures, including identifying value creation strategies and market entry points.
  • Assist in implementing business development and transaction strategies, including networking and relationship-building to uncover new opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with operating teams across Brookfield's infrastructure and transition platforms to support due diligence and post-investment asset management.
  • Coordinate with internal legal, tax, and structuring teams to ensure transaction execution aligns with strategic and financial objectives.

Leadership & Culture

  • Foster a collaborative, dynamic, and team-oriented culture that supports personal development, mentorship, and skill-building-especially for junior colleagues.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects and ad hoc initiatives that advance fund strategy or operational excellence.

Market Research & Thought Leadership
