Job Summary:
IPTA is a company focused on providing innovative technical solutions for government and business organizations. They are seeking a Junior Network Engineer to manage network and system administration, ensuring the security and reliability of classified and unclassified infrastructure for the Army Aviation and Missile Center.
Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, implement, upgrade, and maintain classified and unclassified network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and virtual networking components
• Upgrade network configurations to support evolving modeling, simulation, and test requirements
• Configure and maintain VLANs, routing, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and network segmentation
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and configuration issues
• Maintain network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and baselines
• Assist with IT modernization and technology refresh initiatives
• Perform configuration, preventative maintenance, fault isolation of local/remote LAN equipment, and telecommunications circuitry.
• Duties may include providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture; providing information for hardware and software selection; and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
• Plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the classified and unclassified networks
• Conduct testing of network systems and associated devices
• Evaluate and report on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
• Conduct audit of equipment and production systems and create appropriate reports
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Great communication and organizational skills
• Three (3) years of prior experience in a similar role
• Active Security Clearance Required
Preferred:
• DoD 8570 Level II/III certification desired
