Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for planning, designing, engineering configuration and troubleshooting complex data, video and voice networks. Also responsible to independently (following Management guidelines) interact with customers and vendors to ensure that the networking components of the IT infrastructure are designed, installed, configured, and maintained appropriately for the intended applications.  This includes all hardware and software, data and voice communications via both wired and wireless network components, networking protocols routing and framework, 3rd party components, configuration of end-user networked devices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or an equivalent amount of applicable certifications, experience, and demonstrable knowledge in the related fields to perform the duties of the position).

 

Experience:  Five years of work experience with the following in a medium to large scale enterprise setting and designing network infrastructure, including hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, Cisco wireless controllers, Cisco access points (APs), enterprise routing and switching, LAN/WAN technologies, and data center networking. Experience with OSPF routing, enterprise wireless infrastructure, and troubleshooting complex network connectivity issues is required. Experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM), BGP routing, and Cisco ISE is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Experience designing, implementing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, LAN/WAN technologies, routing protocols, network security, and hardware/software lifecycle management. Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts and network protocols.

License/Certifications:  (MCSE) Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert certification preferred, (CISSP) Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification preferred, (CCNA) Cisco Certified Network Associate preferred.

Physical Requirements:  Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

PAY RANGE

$41.30 - $61.96

The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
