Job description

SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer.

Senior Civil Engineer

Tucson, AZ, USA

Description of Responsibilities
  • Execution and technical oversight of civil design for mine waste and water engineering projects
  • Active engagement and responsibility for business development
  • Project management of technical deliverables, budgets, and schedules
  • Oversight of conceptual through detailed design and permitting
  • Preparation and review of supporting engineering calculations, models, methods
  • Interface with clients and complete site visits / inspections as necessary
  • Active engagement in development and/or advancement of SRKโ€™s engineering practice
  • Active engagement in mentorship of junior staff
  • Other duties as required
Essential Requirements
  • A bachelorโ€™s degree in civil, geotechnical, mining engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain registration within the state
  • Minimum 10 yearsโ€™ experience in the mining industry or in a civil or geotechnical engineering position
  • Ability and desire to collaborate with other technical specialists in mining, geochemistry, geotechnics, groundwater and environmental disciplines in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills
  • Proficiency in civil engineering design software and methodologies.
Your preferred skills and qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in civil engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Experience in professional consulting services (preferred)
