The team is responsible for maintaining and supporting the core Production Monitoring infrastructure and its integration with local monitoring tools.

This is an engineering role focused on learning, implementing, and supporting monitoring solutions for Euroclear’s hybrid infrastructure and applications under the guidance of more experienced team members, rather than an operations or log-watching role.

Role

As a junior IT Monitoring System Engineer for Enterprise System Management, your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing monitoring scenarios, rules, and dashboards based on clearly defined end-user and technical specialist requirements, with appropriate guidance and review
  • Supporting monitoring IT infrastructures.
  • Developing and maintaining automation solutions to reduce manual effort, improve service quality, controls and enhance scalability.
  • Ensuring compliance with operational standards, security requirements, and controls in a highly regulated environment.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Building effective working relationships with other IT experts and learning how monitoring integrates with different technology platforms

In this role, you will progressively liaise with system engineering teams across various platforms (Linux, Windows, Mainframe, Cloud platforms, ...) to understand their monitoring needs and support enhancements to the existing infrastructure. You may also contribute to watch duty (on-call rotation), weekend releases, and interventions once sufficiently onboarded and supported by the team.

Your profile

  • Hold a master’s degree in computer science, or demonstrate equivalent knowledge through relevant experience.
  • Show a clear interest in monitoring tools and Enterprise System Management solutions.
  • Have at least two years of relevant professional experience in monitoring, observability, infrastructure, or tools such as Splunk, Cribl, Dynatrace, or similar solutions.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, openness to discussion, and willingness to learn technical implementations across a broad range of technologies.
  • Be methodical, well-structured, proactive, and able to work in a disciplined way.
  • Embrace new technologies and products and actively share acquired knowledge with team members.
  • Be a team player who values collaboration and can progressively work with more autonomy as experience grows.
  • Be open to change, familiar with or willing to learn Agile ways of working, and able to ask for support when needed.
  • Have basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, basic scripting knowledge or willingness to learn Python, Ansible, shell, or PowerShell, and be fluent in English. Please note that this is a permanent position, and we do not offer freelance/contract arrangement for the role. #LI-AK1
