Job Summary:
Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. They are in search of a highly motivated Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs, while ensuring adherence to security and performance standards.
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, optimize, and maintain scalable, resilient, and high-performance backend systems using Java, Kotlin, and other JVM-based technologies.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs with strong adherence to security, performance, and reliability standards.
• Implement services using Spring Boot, Quarkus, and modern web technologies, following 12-factor app principles for cloud-native development.
• Integrate and manage event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases, ensuring efficient schema design, performance optimization, and reliability.
• Utilize Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions for version control, CI/CD automation, and deployment pipelines.
• Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes platforms (AKS, GKE, or equivalent).
• Collaborate cross-functionally within Agile/SCRUM teams, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and delivery.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding practices, SDLC standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Monitor and enhance system performance using alerting and observability tools such as Nagios, New Relic, Splunk, or GCP monitoring.
• Work with public cloud platforms (Azure or OCI) for application deployment, scaling, and operational readiness.
• If required, contribute to Salesforce Development (SFDC) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or other platforms such as Shopify, SFCC, Stibo, or SFSC.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, JVM-based development, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and robust exception-handling practices.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus, and modern backend web technologies.
• Expertise in event-streaming and messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
• Solid experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) as required.
• Strong understanding of Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and other DevOps tools (Chef, Jenkins, Puppet, ArgoCD).
• Practical experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, especially PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes orchestration (AKS, GKE).
• Understanding of public cloud platforms including Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Nagios, New Relic, Splunk, GCP Monitoring).
• Familiarity with 12-factor app methodology and modern cloud-native design principles.
