Job description

A fast-growing B2B infrastructure platform is expanding its engineering team and looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join one of its most critical and high-velocity teams. This is a full-time, 100% remote opportunity built around a TypeScript, Node.js, and Nest.js stack, with microservice architecture at the core. The platform powers real-time services for a rapidly growing merchant base and operates at meaningful scale. EST hours are required.


This team owns more services than any other in the company, and every major initiative flows through it. With a rapidly expanding customer base and 15 to 18 services under the team's umbrella, you will have real opportunities to shape architecture, mentor engineers, and ship work that matters in production. This role is built for an engineer who wants full ownership, thrives without bureaucracy, and wants to see their fingerprints on something that is actually growing. Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience with TypeScript and Node.js
  • Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining APIs at scale in production environments
  • Track record of building and shipping services end to end with full ownership
  • Strong foundation in system design and microservice architecture
  • Startup mentality, comfortable with ownership, ambiguity, and moving fast
  • Clear communicator who can make and defend technical decisions
  • Experience mentoring engineers and raising the bar on a team


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Nest.js experience
  • Background in ecommerce or experience integrating with logistics and shipping APIs
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce
  • Java experience with Quarkus as a bonus
