Job description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced IT Administrator to support and maintain technology infrastructure across multiple district locations. This position is a 6-12 month contract opportunity with the possibility of extending. This position is 100% onsite in Portland, OR. Apply now!

Location: 100% Onsite in Portland, OR

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm PST


Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade network, server, storage, telecommunications, and infrastructure systems across multiple locations.
  • Respond to outages, escalated support incidents, and infrastructure-related service requests.
  • Administer Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, virtualization, network, security, backup, and access management systems.
  • Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices, and VoIP systems.
  • Monitor infrastructure systems and troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and availability issues.
  • Implement infrastructure improvements, upgrades, patches, automation, and security controls.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and incident records.
  • Support infrastructure projects, vendor coordination, change management, and capacity planning.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and escalation support for complex IT issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to maintain reliable, secure, and effective technology operations.


  • Experience administering IT infrastructure within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with network troubleshooting, servers, virtualization, and security technologies.
  • Experience designing, implementing, documenting, and supporting infrastructure upgrades and configurations.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Experience with Active Directory and enterprise systems management.
  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms and virtual server management tools.
  • Experience with network monitoring and configuration management systems.
