Job description

BMA is seeking a Systems Administrator- Senior (Okta) to join our team. This is a fully remote role. 

Job Summary

Ensures the stable operation, maintenance, and optimization of the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) Okta environment. Plans, develops, installs, configures, maintains, and supports Okta infrastructure and related network software. Provides technical leadership for system administration, performance optimization, automation, and technology enhancements to support organizational objectives.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Plans, develops, installs, configures, maintains, and supports DLA's Okta environment and associated network software.
    • Organizes and directs the configuration, operation, and ongoing administration of DLA's Okta infrastructure.
    • Analyzes and resolves end-user software and connectivity issues.
    • Performs capacity planning and performance analysis.
    • Provides recommendations for system configuration changes and upgrades.
    • Develops and implements automated tools and scripts to improve system administrator efficiency and accuracy.
    • Creates and maintains system administration procedures and documentation.
    • Conducts system administrator training and skills assessments.
    • Provides end-user training and technical support.
    • Recommends technology solutions that align with business objectives and strategic direction.
    • Provides local and remote maintenance support for operational systems within the DLA Okta environment.
    • Performs system maintenance, upgrades, and new server and application installations.
    • Directs the work of system administrators to support daily system administration, resource optimization, and user support.
    • Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing and fault tolerance.

Clearance Requirements

Must possess an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive designation or Tier 3 (T3) background investigation at the time of proposal submission.

Required Skills & Certifications

  • Five (5) years of professional experience supporting Okta environments with progressively increasing responsibility in the Information Technology field.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and maintaining Okta environments for large enterprises.
  • Experience configuring Okta integrations with enterprise technologies, including Active Directory, firewalls, APIs, Zero Trust endpoints, and related systems.
  • Relevant Okta certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
  • Must possess an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive designation or Tier 3 (T3) background investigation at the time of proposal submission.
