Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and implement Linux system upgrades, enhancements, and infrastructure changes to support scalability and reliability
  • Administer and maintain Linux servers and services, applying systems analysis to diagnose and resolve complex performance, stability, or security issues
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for Linux-related issues, analyzing root cause and determining appropriate remediation strategies
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to design and support new data center deployments, including system configuration and application readiness
  • Perform application and system migrations, evaluating dependencies, risks, and optimal execution approaches
  • Monitor system performance and security posture, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance with security standards
  • Develop and maintain automation, scripts, and tooling to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, and operational standards to support consistent administration and future scaling
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align systems administration efforts with platform reliability, scalability, and business objectives

Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency administering Linux systems (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu)
  • Experience applying systems-level troubleshooting and analysis to resolve non-routine technical issues
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar
  • Experience with virtualization, networking, or software development is a plus
  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting:
    • Web servers
    • Databases and caching solutions
    • Firewalls
  • Demonstrated understanding of:
    • Common Linux utilities and system tooling
    • Server and application architecture, including security hardening

Compensation
$60,000 - $75,000
