MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Journeyman Systems Administrator to join our CASTLE-NET program team. This is a remote position.
Be a part of an agile team to provide innovative, customer focused, and cost-effective integrated enterprise IT support services in support of the client's vision of engineering solutions for the Nation's toughest challenges.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across various systems including Windows, Linux, and VMware environments.
  • Involves the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of servers and virtualized environments, working closely with IT teams, application developers, and stakeholders to develop configurations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and best practices.
  • Ensuring system security, performance, and availability, as well as maintaining comprehensive documentation of system configurations and procedures.
  • Deliver world-class IT services and responsive, dependable customer support.
  • Exceed the expectations of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) OCIO/G-6 IT end-users.
  • Deliver vital solutions and strengthen the IT foundation with secure, innovative, and modernized technological solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, Associate degree +2 years relevant experience, or 4+ years relevant experience is acceptable.
  • 4+ years of experience in systems administration for Windows, Linux, or VMware environments.
  • Possesses excellent knowledge of relevant operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Red Hat, CentOS) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, ESXi).
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and experienced with system monitoring, patch management, and performance tuning.
  • Maintain relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, RHCSA, RHCE, VMware Certified Professional - VCP).
  • Must maintain a 8140 IAT Lvl II certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the USACE IT environment, regulatory requirements, and data security best practices are preferred.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must hold an active Secret security clearance prior to starting this position.

Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $64,600.00-$107,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
