Junior IT Support Position Summary Sunrise Telecom is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Junior IT Support Specialist to provide first-level technical support to employees and assist with the day-to-day management of company devices and user accounts. This is an entry-level position that does not require previous IT experience. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys helping others, learns new software quickly, and has excellent typing and computer skills. Most technical procedures are documented, and training will be provided. Essential Responsibilities Device Management Order, receive, and ship company laptops, tablets, and other equipment. Prepare and configure devices for new employees using established procedures. Maintain accurate inventory of company technology assets. Coordinate device replacements, repairs, and returns. Assist with iPad setup and tracking. End User Support Provide first-level support for basic computer and technology issues. Assist employees with password resets, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Outlook, Microsoft 365, Wi-Fi, and VPN access. Help troubleshoot common login and workstation issues. Escalate technical issues that require advanced support. User Account Administration Create, update, and disable user accounts. Reset passwords and Multi-Factor Authentication. Add and remove users from security and distribution groups. Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding tasks. Administrative & Documentation Maintain accurate records of devices and user accounts. Update inventory spreadsheets and internal documentation. Review basic authentication logs to identify common user issues. Follow established IT procedures and document completed work. Communicate professionally with employees while providing support. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Typing speed of 60–70 words per minute. Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, dependable, and able to follow established processes. Customer service experience is preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365. Experience using Windows computers. Previous experience in an office, administrative, customer service, or helpdesk environment is a plus but not required.
