Job Description:
Senior Studio Interior Designer (licensed)/Senior Studio Designer (non-licensed)

Role:
Develop design solutions and provide project coordination for all project phases, from concept through construction. You will be part of a team that creates impactful and memorable experiences in the hospitality, restaurant, mixed use, healthcare, and residential markets.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze client needs, goals, and safety requirements, applying interior design knowledge and code compliance.
  • Coordinate with leadership and project teams through all phases, from planning and design to installation and project closeout.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to achieve project goals.
  • Solve complex design challenges with practical, creative solutions.
  • Create presentations, construction documents, and specifications for interior layouts, finishes, and furnishings.
  • Maintain organized client records, including correspondence, notes, and project documentation.
  • Assist with bid preparation and contract administration when needed.
  • Review design solutions during implementation and after project completion.
  • Track and record time accurately by project and task.
  • Participate in site visits, client meetings, and coordination meetings.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to support their development and performance.
  • Build strong client relationships and communicate project updates regularly.
  • Demonstrate initiative and curiosity while working collaboratively with the team.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through training, seminars, and industry involvement.

Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, color, and industry standards, with expertise in specialty areas.
  • Experience developing and managing FF&E specifications.
  • Skilled in coordinating construction drawing sets, with knowledge of detailing, materials, methods, and codes.
  • Experience managing FF&E deliverables, vendors, and fabrication processes.
  • Proven ability to lead design concepts from start to finish, meeting schedule, budget, and design intent.
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly.
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, adaptable, and customer-focused.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (accredited program).
  • 6–8 years of commercial design experience, preferably in a specialized area.
  • NCIDQ or CID certification required for Interior Designer title, in good standing.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, DesignSpec (or Similar Spec writing software), Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
