The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on debugging skills with a systems level understanding of vehicle architectures, communication networks, and ECU interactions. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to rapidly identify, resolve, and prevent integration issues throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Â Â Lead investigation and root cause analysis of complex vehicle integration issues across electrical, network, software, and hardware domains.
- Â Â Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies to identify dominant failure modes and implement robust corrective actions.
- Â Â Integrate, configure, and validate ECUs, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems at the vehicle level.
- Â Â Debug and validate vehicle communication networks, including CAN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, and gateway routing.
- Â Â Develop and execute vehicle integration, design validation, and product validation test plans.
- Â Â Diagnose and resolve hardware-software interaction issues impacting vehicle functionality and performance.
- Â Â Analyze network traces, diagnostic logs, and system data to identify and resolve integration challenges.
- Â Â Document root cause findings, corrective actions, and lessons learned to improve product quality and development efficiency.
- Â Â Partner with subsystem teams including ADAS, Vehicle Engineering, Infotainment, Supplier Quality, and Connectivity to drive issue resolution.
- Â Â Support vehicle builds, bring-up activities, and validation testing throughout prototype and production phases.
- Â Â Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Â Â Support integration planning, technical strategy development, and prioritization activities with the Integration Lead.
Required Qualifications:- Â Â 8+ years of experience in vehicle integration, automotive electronics, embedded systems, or related engineering disciplines.
- Â Â Strong experience performing vehicle-level root cause analysis and troubleshooting of complex electrical and networked systems.
- Â Â Deep understanding of CAN (CAN 2.0, CAN FD) protocols and associated tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, PCAN, or equivalent.
- Â Â Strong understanding of Automotive Ethernet technologies (100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1) and protocols including DoIP, SOME/IP, and AVB/TSN.
- Â Â Experience with electrical system debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, protocol analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
- Â Â Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring harnesses, and connector systems.
