Position Summary:

The Principal Integration Developer - OIC & MuleSoft serves as a senior technical leader within the integration & platform team, responsible for the architecture, design, development, deployment and operational support of enterprise-scale integration solutions. Working with both Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, this role will accelerate business digital transformation by enabling reliable, scalable, performant connectivity across cloud and on-premise applications, APIs, and data flows. The role will also guide the integration practice by defining standards, mentoring other engineers, and ensuring alignment with broader enterprise architecture and governance.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Architect and lead integration solutions - Take ownership of end-to-end integration solution architecture (including OIC, MuleSoft, hybrid cloud/on-premise), evaluate design alternatives, make technology decisions, ensure non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, monitoring) are met.
  • Design and develop high-complexity integrations - Build, configure, test, deploy, and support integrations, APIs, event-driven flows and orchestrations using OIC and MuleSoft; collaborate closely with application owners, architects and business analysts to translate requirements into robust integration solutions.
  • Define and enforce integration standards & best practices - Establish and maintain integration patterns, reusable artifacts (connectors, templates, APIs), governance model, CI/CD pipeline, monitoring/alerting and documentation standards for the integration practice.
  • Operate and optimize integration platforms - Oversee runtime health of the integration ecosystems (OIC, MuleSoft), monitor performance/throughput, troubleshoot incidents, lead root-cause analysis, implement operational improvements and ensure high availability and reliability of integration services.
  • Mentor and collaborate with team members and stakeholders - Serve as a subject-matter expert; provide guidance, code reviews, training, and mentorship to more junior integration developers; work cross-functionally with architecture, security, DevOps, application teams and business stakeholders to align integration strategy with enterprise goals.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Typically 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise integration development and architecture (or equivalent mix of development + architecture).
  • Hands-on experience with either Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (or at minimum one plus strong transferable skills) in high-volume, enterprise deployments.
  • Proven track record in designing, building and operating complex integrations across cloud and on-premise systems (ERP, CRM, HCM, data platforms).
  • Experience leading the definition and adoption of integration/architecture standards, reusable patterns, API strategies, and DevOps/CI-CD for integration.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading other developers, influencing across teams, and managing stakeholder relationships.
Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding of the integration lifecycle: API management, message queuing/messaging, event-driven architectures, data transformation, ETL/ELT, mapping, orchestration, scheduling, error handling and reconciliation.
  • Proficiency with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC): designing integrations using adapters, process automation, orchestration flows, connectivity between cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Proficiency with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform: building APIs, connectors, flows, event streaming/integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI, AWS), hybrid architectures, microservices, containerization, DevOps/CI-CD practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting/diagnostic skills: analyze logs, trace integration flows, identify bottlenecks, optimize performance and reliability.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities: articulate technical concepts to business stakeholders, mentor peers, influence technical direction.
  • Architectural mindset: able to make decisions about technology stacks, trade-offs (cost, complexity, maintainability) and guide long-term integration roadmap.
