Power Electronics & Control Systems:
Work with power electronics, DC-DC, inverters, rectifiers and controllers to convert, condition, and distribute power generated by fuel cells. Develop control strategies to ensure the efficient and coordinated operation of fuel cells with other energy sources in grid-connected or islanded modes.
Reliability & Redundancy Design:
Ensure Fuel Cell and microgrid systems are fault-tolerant, resilient, and meet the high-availability needs of data centers. Implement redundancy strategies (e.g., N+1 configurations) for critical components such as fuel cells, energy storage, and inverters.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Work closely with mechanical engineers, software engineers, System and MBOP engineers and data center operations teams to ensure that the microgrid system is fully aligned with facility power requirements. Communicate effectively to ensure timely integration and deployment.
Compliance & Safety Standards:
Ensure that all fuel cell and microgrid systems meet regulatory requirements, industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC), and safety protocols for energy systems and data centers. Keep updated on environmental regulations and sustainability goals for energy systems.
Troubleshooting & System Support:
Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for fuel cell-based microgrid systems. Perform regular performance optimization and address any system failures or efficiency issues that may arise.
