Job description

A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 70 years in business is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for their Windsor, Connecticut office!


Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems (power distribution, stand-by power generation, lighting, communication, fire alarm, security systems)
  • Manage team of electrical engineers in a variety of project design and development tasks:
  • drawings
  • calculations
  • cost estimates
  • specifications
  • client communication
  • contractor submittal reviews
  • Review design documents
  • Ensure department adheres to QA/QC standards
  • Assist with developing QA/QC standards
  • Assist with business development initiatives
  • Mentor/train junior staff

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
  • 5+ years of consulting experience (designing building power, lighting, communication and security systems)
  • Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems preferred
  • PE License
  • Extensive knowledge of the architectural/engineering industry (Federal, State, and local laws/regulations)
  • Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office (or similar software)
  • LEED Accreditation
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Easy Power preferred
