In addition, you will be expected to investigate emergent equipment failures and provide creative solutions when applicable.**Job Description****Key Accountabilities:*** Serving as a design qualified engineer in Electrical or I&C systems in support of plant design changes.* Providing solutions for Problem Solving, Decision Making, Troubleshooting.* Preparing technical engineering products: reports, evaluations, and design changes to the plant.* Developing and completing investigations and corrective actions in accordance with the Corrective Action Program.* Performing field walk-downs and interfacing with other groups to resolve emergent and routine plant issues.* Reviewing schedules and maintenance work orders to ensure efficient work implementation/scheduling.* Championing system design change improvements and enhancements.* Actively seeking formal and informal learning opportunities to better understand technical policies, practices, and procedures.* Develop effective working relationships with other departments and employees within you own work group to establish a professional network**Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree in Technical Engineering Field required (Electrical Engineering is preferred).* Minimum 6 yrs. relevant job experience.* Experience in Electrical and/or I&C systems is preferred.* Digital Experience desired.* Prior plant system engineering experience, including experience with electrical and I&C components is preferred.* Being able to work independently with little supervisory involvement is preferred.* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong analytical ability.* Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to make formal technical presentations to various management levels.**Key Metrics:*** Teamwork and collaboration skills across organizational boundaries* Able to communicate complex issues effectively through written and verbal communication* Able to influence by establishing effective working relationships across organizational boundaries* In-depth understanding of power plant equipment and system interrelationships.* Able to evaluate technical alternatives in light of their economic contribution to the business* Able to apply systematic problem - solving processes to address complex issues**\*\* Final pay grade will be determined based on applicant's education and experience \*\*****Job Family**Engineering Services**Company**Vistra Nuclear Operations Company**Locations**Glen Rose, TexasTexas### *We are a company of people committed to: Exceeding Customer Expectations, Great People, Teamwork, Competitive Spirit and Effective Communication.
