Are you a creative designer who loves bringing brands to life across print, digital, video, and social media? Do you enjoy connecting with people just as much as designing? Nurtur Aveda is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer/Multimedia Specialist to join our Marketing & Creative team. This role combines strong graphic design skills with content creation, photography, videography, and social media storytelling. You'll help shape the visual identity of our brands while traveling to our campuses to capture authentic stories, celebrate our students, and create engaging content.

Responsibilities:
The Junior Graphic Designer/Multimedia Specialist must exhibit certain characteristics and perform specific duties during their daily or weekly routine. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Graphic Design
  • Design visually compelling, on-brand marketing materials across digital and print platforms.
  • Create social media graphics, advertisements, email campaigns, presentations, signage, brochures, event materials, and promotional collateral.
  • Maintain brand consistency across multiple brands and locations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to bring campaigns and creative concepts to life.
  • Manage multiple design projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Multimedia & Content Creation
  • Travel to our campuses to capture photo and video content featuring students, educators, guests, and campus life.
  • Film and edit engaging videos for social media, advertising, recruitment, and internal communications.
  • Create content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
  • Assist with social media photography, video production, editing, and motion graphics projects.
  • Stay current on content trends and identify new ways to engage our audience.

Brand Storytelling
  • Build relationships with students, educators, and team members to uncover authentic stories worth sharing.
  • Help people feel comfortable on camera and capture genuine moments that showcase our culture.
  • Support events, competitions, photoshoots, and special projects throughout the year.
  • Look for opportunities to improve our visual communications and elevate our brands.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, or a related field or 2-3 years of professional design experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong graphic design work across print and digital media.
  • Extreme attention to detail and proven commitment to quality control.
  • Superior understanding of typography and page layout.
  • Proficient in Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.)
  • Social media style photography and videography (including capturing & editing)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A talented designer with a strong eye for typography, layout, color, and branding.
  • Outgoing, approachable, and genuinely enjoys connecting with people.
  • Creative, curious, and full of ideas.
  • Comfortable filming, photographing, and interviewing people.
  • Passionate about social media, storytelling, and visual communication.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and collaborating with a creative team.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excited to travel and experience different campuses and teams.
  • Always learning and staying on top of design, marketing, and social media trends.
  • Familiarity with marketing and advertising principles is a plus.
  • Video Editing & Motion Graphics capabilities (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) is a plus.

Travel Requirements:
The team member in this position must be able to travel locally to events and for out-of-state training as necessary.
