Jain Global is an innovative multi-strategy investment firm founded in July 2024 by Bobby Jain with over 400 employees operating from offices in New York, Houston, London, Singapore, and Hong Kong, we are looking to add to our growing teams.

We are seeking a Compliance Technology Junior Developer with 2-5 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will support the firm's global compliance function by contributing to the development of technology solutions that help meet regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions. Collaborating with senior engineers and the Legal & Compliance team, you will assist in building and maintaining tools for trade compliance, monitoring, surveillance, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data feeds related to employee profiles, communication surveillance, and trading activity, ensuring accurate and timely capture of data within key compliance systems.

  • Maintain critical compliance alerts that support regulatory obligations, helping ensure effective escalation and auditability of potential compliance issues

  • Contribute to a compliance restrictions system that enables firmwide trading.

  • Support standardization of trade and order data across trading systems, and contribute to data enrichment and integrations that streamline regulatory reporting and enable accurate, timely trade surveillance in line with regulatory expectations.

  • Work closely with senior developers and Compliance stakeholders to help translate policies and regulatory rules into technical workflows and controls.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in software development, with exposure to committing code into production environments.

  • Proficient in Python for software development.

  • Strong foundation in React / TypeScript, REST APIs, and SQL.

  • Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS RDS / Postgres / MySQL, Git and modern development workflows.

  • Experience or willingness to participate in on-call rotas for critical systems.

  • Experience working on trading platforms and with order & execution data is a plus.

  • Exposure to AWS or cloud infrastructure preferred, but not required.

  • Experience with Docker or CI/CD pipelines preferred, but not required.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Curious mindset with a willingness to learn quickly.
