  • Junior DS Engineer — 2+ years, Secret or clearable
  • Senior DS Engineer — 5+ years, Secret or clearable
  • DS Lead CEL Engineer — 5–7 years, telecommunications rooms/MDF/IDF, Secret or clearable
  • DS Lead Engineer — 10+ years, multi-discipline team leadership, Secret or clearable
 
Role Highlights:
  • Position: Junior Distribution Systems Engineer
  • Location: 100% Onsite — Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Honolulu, HI
  • Job Type: Full-Time, W2 Permanent
  • Salary: $72-80K - based on qualifications
  • Clearance: Active Secret required, or s who can obtain an interim are encouraged to apply
 
What You''ll Be Doing:
  • Rack and stack network equipment; install and activate UPS/PDUs, APs, patch panels, and CAT-6 cabling
  • Support ISP/OSP field activities and contribute technical input for design recommendations
  • Document fieldwork findings and update as-built records and circuit connectivity matrices
  • Assist with equipment assessments and provide preliminary observations for senior review
  • Coordinate site access and schedule alignment with Government POCs as directed
  • Prepare basic project documentation, reports, and updates under guidance from senior team members
  • Update network documentation and as-built records based on splicing and testing results
  • Assist with planning activities by gathering data and providing initial workload estimates
  • Contribute to deliverable development by preparing drafts or collecting required information
  • Follow quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy in project outputs
  • Work collaboratively as part of a small implementation team
 
What They''re Looking For:
  • 2+ years of experience in communications, cabling, or physical network infrastructure (or a relevant engineering degree)
  • Familiarity with ISP/OSP design and implementation documents — as-builts, rack elevations, circuit matrices
  • Working knowledge of fiber testing and wired/general IT functions
  • Security+ CE preferred
  • BICSI certification a plus
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Honolulu area independently — no relocation assistance provided
