  • Review prototype samples, providing detailed construction and aesthetic feedback to ensure products meet design intent and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with product development to solve problems by balancing design integrity, manufacturability, cost, and seasonal timelines.
  • Manage multiple overlapping seasonal calendars and prioritize development projects while consistently meeting key milestones and deadlines.
  • Maintain seasonal line architecture and create style walls, color boards, and presentation materials for internal reviews and meetings.
  • Support merchandising and sales initiatives through product storytelling, seasonal presentations, and sales meeting preparation.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Associate Designers, fostering creative growth, technical excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficiency with PLM systems is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of accessories construction, materials, sourcing, manufacturing processes, and global production.
  • Strong technical knowledge of product engineering, trims, hardware, fabrication, and finishing techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to independently prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker with a balance of creativity, commercial awareness, and problem-solving capabilities.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in accessories design within a premium, performance, fashion, or lifestyle brand.
