Job description

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies.

We are seeking a Junior Project Cost Estimator to support major public-sector construction programs with LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District). This is a great opportunity for early-career professionals looking to grow within large-scale educational facility projects.

Salary Range: $115K/Year-$130K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare independent cost estimates for construction projects
  • Assist with change order pricing and negotiations
  • Support claim analysis and cost evaluations
  • Review contractor proposals for accuracy and accountability
  • Develop detailed estimates based on drawings, specs, and RFIs
  • Research market pricing trends (labor & materials)
  • Collaborate with PM/CM teams to support decision-making

Requirements

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in construction estimating (facilities or school projects preferred)

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of local construction costs (labor & materials)
  • Experience with change orders and scope development
  • Ability to analyze contractor estimates vs. independent estimates
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
