We are looking for a Junior Structural Design Engineer to join our Los Angeles team. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on a diverse range of projects while developing technical expertise, professional judgment, and leadership capabilities that will shape your career.

What You'll Do:

As a Junior Structural Design Engineer, you will be supported by experienced mentors while contributing to a wide range of structural engineering projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating plans, design, computer analysis, checking drawing reviews and calculations using engineering formulas and skills for design in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings, or other specifications
  • Analyzing applicable reports, drawings, blueprints, tests, and related documentation to plan and design projects
  • Using computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents and calculations
  • Leading design coordination meetings with project consultants and clients
  • Managing projects and project teams, assisting with training and development of younger engineers
  • Conducting field reviews and structural observations
  • Reviewing shop drawings, contractor requests and RFI’s

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of structural design experience
  • Master’s degree with specialization in structural engineering
  • Structural design experience in post-tensioned concrete, reinforced concrete, wood, masonry and steel
  • Strong technical understanding of seismic design principles and structural dynamics
  • A working knowledge of the California Building Code and relevant design standards (i.e. AISC, ACI, NDS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects and deadlines
  • E. license required, actively working towards S.E.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret drawing plans
