IT Applications Systems/Business Analyst
Job Summary: This is junior role designed for candidates early in their careers, offering strong mentorship and hands-on learning opportunities in enterprise applications, ERP systems (D365), and modern development practices. Remote work is allowed but candidate must maintain on-site presence if required, so location should Rochester, NY or Windsor, CO
As an IT Applications Systems Analyst, you will:
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications with a primary focus on programming and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business and IT teams to support and enhance enterprise applications, including ERP platforms (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations).
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to ensure system stability and performance
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, optimization, and modern development practices.
  • Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams to deliver scalable and effective solutions.

Job Description:
  • Provide day-to-day application support for "Keep It Running" and "Keep It Current" activities, including ticket tracking and system updates.
  • Monitor, triage, and resolve application incidents and service requests.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes or process improvements.
  • Work directly with end users to troubleshoot issues and provide guidance.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and development standards
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and functional solutions
  • Develop and support integrations between ERP systems and other enterprise applications (APIs, web services, data interfaces)
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT development teams
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role desired
  • Strong programming experience in Microsoft technology stack
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines concurrently
  • Experience working with ERP systems (D365 preferred) in a development or technical role

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with system integrations (APIs, middleware, data flows)
  • Familiarity with Azure services and cloud-based development
  • Experience with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub)
  • Working knowledge of IT processes (incident, change, and release management).

Required Technical Abilities (Mainly in MS Stack):
  • Programming Languages: C#, .NET, SQL, JavaScript, PowerShell
  • Databases: SQL Server (querying, optimization, data modeling)
  • Development Tools: Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git
  • Integration Technologies: APIs, web services, data integration tools
  • Reporting & Analytics (a plus): Power BI, data modeling
  • General IT Skills: Application troubleshooting, system monitoring, and support
