To support this mission, OSIT has embarked on a multi-year modernization journey, within which the Software Engineer will play a key role: working within our legacy application as we update it to a cloud-native platform which follows modern design standards.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Designs, codes, tests and debugs applications and components that meet all technical specifications and business requirements per assigned work items
  • Collaborates closely with stakeholders, product owners, and feature team on developing requirements
  • Refines business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions
  • Perform code reviews
  • Operational Excellence - build, deploy, monitor, and operation of production services
  • Communicates effectively with business stakeholders and technical team.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in full lifecycle software development projects in an agile environment
  • 1+ years of experience with at least two of the ServiceNow modules including Vulnerability Response (VR), Security Operations (SecOps), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Customer Service Management (CSM) and/or IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • 1+ years of experience with developing custom Service now applications
  • United States Citizenship
  • If you are offered this position, you will be required to provide extensive personal information to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top Secret security clearance as a condition of your employment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or related field
  • Completed ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals (SNAF)
  • 1+ years of experience with ServiceNow Application Developer Certification
  • 1+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure and automated provisioning & configuration management
  • 1+ years of experience with networking and internet protocols

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
